[IMG] Hello. I have a stalker character in my all new Easy TuTu game. At lvl 1 he was proficient (1 point) with darts. For roleplaying reasons, obviously, as if it is a traditional sport or like that.

Anyway, do normal, non magical darts gain STR dmg bonus in TuTu? IIRC, in BG2 normal darts do gain STR bonus to damage, bot magical ones do not. So what's it like in TuTu?

My cool stalker occasionally did 1 damage to gibberlings and xvarts with his darts, despite his 18/96 STR (not cheated) so I am asking. However, he was once able to do 5 dmg to an ogre without a critical hit, so I feel kinda confused here.

At lvl 3 he is now specialised in darts and does not do 1 damage per hit any more, thanks to +2 dmg bonus from specialisation, I guess. 3+½ attacks per round is neat, I recently got Bracers of Archery from the dart-master thug too! (bah, isn't he a copy-cat? :p )

Could it be that Ogres are vulnerable to pierce damage? I.e. they have a negative resistance? That might explain the damage.

I don't recall ever reading that darts give a strength bonus - what I do recall is that magical sling bullets give a strength bonus. Is it possible you remembered darts instead of bullets, and magical instead of non-magical?

What was funny, that it was the ogre who carries the belt of piercing. (among with gender change :p )

Now you mention it, I thought slings did not confer STR dmg, only the magical sling of seeking allowed that. (and thus was a favourite item for many players despite its lower enchantment level) It is getting more and more confusing. :hmm: Can some one shed a light to this mystery?

One normally don't install a fixpack when playing EasyTutu, so Silverstar better point Macready towards this.
