    Is anyone here a really big fan of David Feintuch? Just thought I'd inquire out of interest. Personally I think his Seafort saga was one of the best series I ever read. Still, wont he let the guy have any happiness? Also I havn't read children of hope yet. Is it any good, and more importantly I hope he doesn't kill of any more old characters, because Nick doesn't deserve it.

    The still, wasn't really what I was hoping for. It was getting pretty good up till the end but after the whole uncle bit at the end I was totally put off the book.

    It's worth reading up to and including fisherman's hope. After that, Voices of hope is O.K, but a bit dull. Patriach's hope is good, but loads more torment for Seafort, which is starting to get annoying as you said.
