i got a bit nostalgic reading the funny diablo 2 names and wanted to do a reinstal of diablo 2 plus the expansion...

the install works perfectly untill i have to install the expansion pack and have to put cd 2 in my drive, the installation stops and eventually it asks for me to put disk 2 in my drive again...

how can i overcome this problem, when buying a new copy is not a favored option?

    thx in advance

    Try some of this.

I got a sample free with PC Gamer. I haven't had the opportunity to actually use it yet, but it may work.

and it should preferebly cost nothing

Well, since you own the original copy and have a serial to play online, you might as well try one of the torrent sites for the software. Might take a few days to download, though, so I would much rather just take the pennies and fetch a new copy from the nearest supermarket. It should be only about 5-10 euros.

Try emailing Blizzard; they may very well have a policy of replacing bad disks (though they may charge S&H and/or a nominal fee). Worth a shot, anyway.

You could also try to take the cd to your retail seller and ask them to replace the cd. Atleast my friend got a new cd that way, and no, it wasn't the store where he even bought the game in the first place.
Strange but who's going to complain? Not me or my friend :D
