Dialogue not firing.

Ok, I'm at the point where Viccy first offers to sleep with my PC. I tell her I am not interested in laying with her, then that I don't doubt her ability and that's she's beautiful and finally no, even though I may wish so, I cannot.

Come the morning her "did not sleep with PC" dialogue will not fire, the party just stands around as if a trigger has happened, but nothing does happen.

Any suggestions as to how to get her dialogue to fire after her night alone?

 

In which area did this happen?

I've had problem in the Underdark with the "just before sleep" dialogs happening properly, but the "after sleep" dialogs not occurring (IIRC this happened to me with Viconia). About the only thing I could do was postpone resting until after I'd got back to the surface.

I think the problem is that the game limits romance dialogs to outside areas, but does not do so consistently, so that some dialogs do occur indoors (and the Underdark is considered indoors for such purposes)

 

it first failed in the Mithrest Inn and then out in the streets of the Promenade where absolutely no one was in sight, she'll do the damn morning after dialogue if my PC sleeps with her, but since this isn't her sleep with me or it's over dialogue, I figure it'd be inappropriate for my Paladin to just give into desire and bed down with her.

I also have no idea if not getting the morning after the night alone dialogue with mess up the romance, specifically since the morning after the night alone dialogue allows for a conversation choice that can ruin the romance.


yea, it doesn't seem to matter where I am, only if I sleep with her will she have dialogue in the morning for my character. I'm relatively new to the Viccy romance, but the romance guide does claim that she says something to the extent of watching you sleep disgusts me and then you get to ask her why she'd doing this.

Guess it's time to put that game on hold until I can get this sorted out.

could anyone just tell me how I could force this dialogue into action? Any assistance would be appreciated.

 

You may have better luck asking at PPG. A lot of folks over there know the CLUA codes for the romances pretty well from modding them.

Well I figured out what my problem is, after telling Viccy I'm not going to sleep with her, my PC's global variable SLEPTVICONIA 0 does not appear, there for making the decision of what dialogue to pursue impossible for the script. Manually putting it in seems to have no effect on the firing of the dialogue, at least immediately. I think I'll manually put the global variable SLEPTVICONIA 0 back and in just let the game run for a while, hopefully all I have to do is have it run through the romance timer to fire up. If this doesn't work, well it will make progressing the romance forever stuck on LT-41...

PPG is the PocketPlane Group; their modding prowess is known far and wide.

But I too know the CLUA codes for romances. You might try inputting both of these:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("SleptViconia","GLOBAL",0)
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("LoveTalk","LOCALS",42)
The last one must be input with the cursor over Viconia's portrait. That should solve your problem.

 

It suddenly occurs to me that you should also check to make sure that Viccy's romance isn't dead if you haven't already. You may have let her down in such a way that the romance is broken. I think the code is CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("ViconiaRomanceActive","GLOBAL"). I'm not 100% on this so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Viccy was flagged as a 1 under her romance global variable, unlike Jahiera and Aerie who flagged as 3s. I wonder as to why the SLEPTVICONIA 0 never triggered.
