[IMG] The manual AND the in-game spell description both say that dispel magic will rid you of this pesky enchantment, but that is clearly not so. I have tried over and over and it NEVER works.

So what can I do? I know how to defend against it--either a greenstone amulet, or chaotic commands, or spell immunity against enchantment . . .

But a defense is useless at the beginning of chapter 6. The second I enter the graveyard, at least one, and sometimes two, of my best fighters get dominated, and begin hacking my party to bits. I have only one greenstone amulet, so that is a little help, but not much. My cleric cannot cast chaotic commands fast enough. And if I cast my defensive spells before leaving the prior area, they all disappear the moment I set foot in the graveard.

    Any ideas?

If all fails, cast Mental Domination yourself (priest spell level 4).

At least I do it always. Never tried Minsc's Charm though...

Indeed, I found out the same, that Dispel doesn't work on Domination.... maybe only against Lesser Domination? Annoying huh, that Umber Hulks? ;)

Do what I did. Kill him, then revive him.
That´s better, if you ask me ;)

I mean, the one dominated. Kill him.

Funny thing. Dispel magic never worked against domination while I just had Shadows of Amn. Then yesterday I bought Throne of Bhaal and installed it this morning. I also installed the ToB patch. Then I went back to an old SoA saved game and whadda ya know--dispel magic now dispels domination!

Maybe this was a bug that either ToB or its patch fixed . . .
