Do I miss out on Bhaalspawn powers when rushing through chapters?

    I just started a new game recently, and decided to play evil this time. Unfortunetly, I rushed through the Nashkel Mines before recieving my first Bhaalspawn power, and now it's chapter 3. I'm kinda rushing because I'd like to try some of the evil NPCs I've never used before, like Eldoth, Sky, or Tiax.

    Does this mean that I am missing out on getting a power, or will I get more than one of them this chapter? It's been a while since I played, but I thought I should have had at least one Cure Light Wounds by now, and getting another one. Or did I start on the slow poisons in chpt 3? I can't remember.

    From my experience, if you missed out on the Chapter 2 dream, it will happen on Chapter 3, and the proper dream will happen a few restings later.

    At least that's what I recall from one of my old games where I did the same thing (finished Nashkel too fast).

    IIRC, the powers are CLW or Larloch's Minor Drain; Slow Poison or Ghoul Touch; DUHM or Vampiric Touch and are dependant on your reputation. I think below 10 you get the "evil" ones and above 10 you get the "good" ones.

    The dreams happen around the times you start new chapters from 3 on. I've gotten the first dream right after clearing Nashkel in the first week in one game and a month after clearing the mines in another.

    In my experience, they'll always occur in sequence, but I've never been able to get more than one power in any particular chapter even with a "backlog", no matter how much I rested. Which would mean that you wouldn't get the last power. It could have been bad luck, but I usually find it best not to take chances.

    That said though, unless your PC is a melee character with a high STR, you won't miss that extra DUHM (or Vampiric Touch) casting much.
