I have tried to kill the dragon, but i only hit him one time, he was hit by my barbarian who has a +4 Greatsword, nobody else was able to inflict damage to the dragon, a have a rougue with +2 arrows, a fighter with Valorfoe (hammer) and a +3 hammer, a druid shaped into the green monster and a paladin with Sherincal's sword, are these weapons OK to kill the dragon.

I also have a sorcerer with missiles, fireball, etc. and i have a finger of death scroll, it is posible to kill the dragon with it.

    Thank you all.

i think these weapons should be ok.
but your tactic doesn't seem to be ok.
    a) do you have a cleric with you?
    b) do you use summons?
    c) may i propose your druid be the healer/summoner/spell supporter instead of charging in.

you have so many fighter type chatacters and you don't have someone to heal them? unlike baldur's gate, heal spell now is very cheap. the casting duration is instant, you don't have to wait any longer.

oh well, that's why i proposed to let your druid do the healing job.

does your sorcerer has animate undead? summon all the summons, let them distract the guardian and take the pain. you have the 'wand of dead'? it is a prize from battle square 9th rank. this wand can give you 50 undeads in total.

I concur with the recommendations on the summoning spells- the key is to distract the dragon so he doesn't focus his attacks on the one or two party members who can actually hit him. I also used the druid spell Tortoise Shell and Otiluke's Resilient Sphere to keep a couple of the summoned critters alive as long as possible: they won't be able to hit the dragon anyway so the key is to make them durable fodder. Then, seriously soup-up the one person who can hit him with potions, spells etc so she can do maximum damage. I found Power Attack 3 was helpful since I have a very high BAB on my fighter, but adjust based on your attack roll. Also, Protection from Evil and Protection from Acid seemed to make a big difference.

I was never able to get him even once with ranged weapons, and I had +4 or +5 arrows and a very high Dex archer. On the other hand, your druid can probably do about 10 damage 75% of the time with Sol's Searing Orb, and if anyone in your party can cast lightning spells, you can probably hit him 50% of the time with those for about another 10 damage. Every little bit helps. I even got him with Magic Missile once! (Out of, I think, four tries).

the first time i killed the guardian is by disintegrate, then i found that too cheap so i played a second time. the second time, my wizard ened its life by mordenkainen's sword. i have noticed that m. sword can damage the guardian at every hit so this spell is definately worth it if you have it.

also, from gamefaqs.com iwd2 forum, [fire mage] found out that brilliant weapons which ignore the ac to hit. you can find one in kuldahar weapon store and another one back in battle square as rank 10 prize.
