[IMG] OK: First of all, my friend wrote that whole thing while I was typing a history paper on another computer. I don't, however, totally disagree, even if it was a bit exagerated. I strongly disagree with the homosexual content, and yes I am prejudice against homosexuals, that is completely against the natural way of things and nothing sickens me more. I thought the game was ok other than that however. The one thing I didnt like too much was that the game seemed much more promising in the beginning than later on. I think I do agree that if you are going to buy it, wait untill the game has gone down significantly in price. I am sorry if my friend or myself have offended anyone.

Swans and wolves form lifetime sexual partnerships. Most of these are male/female but about 10% of the time they're male/male or female/female. Apparently swans and wolves (I believe geese do it too) are somehow sinning or being "unnatural".

I have a serious question: WHY DO YOU CARE? Consenting adults loving each other -- gee, how offensive. And none of anyone's damn business.

Some of my friends, including my best friend with whom I grew up, are gay. Every single one of them has a strict moral code (treat others and the earth well) and a great sense of humor. And I would be thrilled if any of them wanted to babysit my future children. I've known plenty of heterosexuals whom I wouldn't let within 5 miles of any children. And I've known plenty of people who were sexually assaulted as children; all of them are women, and all were assaulted by heterosexual men. 97% of children who are sexually molested in this country are girls, and the VAST majority of the time they're assaulted by a heterosexual male family member or close family friend.

Some day people are going to be confused as hell by homophobia. Skin color, sexuality, sex, country of origin, religion: none of it matters one single solitary damn. All that matters is, to paraphrase Gandalf, what you do with the time that's given to you.

There's this great children's book about people finding a broken truth. The partial truth is, "you are loved", and they value this half-truth so much that they even war over it. A little girl goes to find the other part of the truth to heal the world. The whole truth is, "You are loved. And so are they."

Sorry about the long rant. This is just something that I cannot keep quiet about.

The fact that you yourself label it as prejudice shows that you know of the flaw in your own reasoning, but you're not ready to admit it to yourself yet, I think.

Now, I haven't played the game yet (Though I will once I've bought the game, which will be in about two weeks and for full price.) but how is it's content homosexual in nature? Or is this just a different wording for the ever so popular reference "gay" on things the youth nowadays dislikes.

I think it's the idea of being different that he don't like.

I'm not like everybody else, I listen to different music, wears different clothing, and is on the "wrong side" of politics. And some hate me for it. Perhaps because they don't want to think different so they follow the major group.

Why in the hell are you all discussing PERSONAL sexual preference to this extent in THIS forum?

I'm trying to figure out what exactly is homosexual about ToEE's content. That's the only reason I see for it being in this forum.

But if the discussion is about sexual preference, then it should be in Whatnots, if anywhere.

    Edit: I mean AoDA.

Faragon, I think it was the "King Frog" that got him all rowelled up. You know, the tongue-grappling and all. The poor kid probably just couldn't control himself.

I hear those frogs like to put on tight bicycling shorts and go dancing too!

[IMG] The one with the purple elven armor in its belly? By the way...I think the multicolored elven chain armor is cool! I've only enchanted one suit of armor myself. A suit of gold full plate...I went with +2 enchantment and 13 spell resistance.

:mommy: Ah well, I'm glad that I eventually got my eyes opened about the TRUE NATURE of ToEE after innocently enjoying to play it ... :mommy:

Being a teenageer is hard ... getting spots, changing voice, the miracles of sex and love and all that. It's just that I'm not interested in that, especially not when I read a game forum. So please, restrict your outbursts to AoDA or SS or Whatnots or whatever - forums all offering plenty of space and perhaps even an audience for your distress ...

    Just my two cents.

PS: The elven chain from the frog is cool indeed ... can't wait to try out enchanting armor and weapons myself ...

[IMG] Weapon and armor creation is cool...But if you want holy weapons, make sure you have a cleric that can make them. I've spent the last 2 feats for both my mage and my cleric on item creation. It's even a good way to make money!!! Just create minor items for 1000 gold, and you can usually sell them for 1500 or more. 150% profit isn't too shabby! ;)

[IMG] 1. Your original post was closed because it was inappropriate. Opening another one with more or less the same subject but a somewhat lacking lacking apology falls under the "no multiple posts on the same subject" rule. Go read the forum rules.

    2. You are responsible for all the content posted under your username. If I got a dime for every time I heard the "it wasn't me, it was <insert someone else here> posting with my account" apology I'd be rich today.

    3. This is not the proper forum for an apology regarding your previous post, or further discussion on it. You should have posted this in SS. It is obvious you need to go read the forum descriptions as well as the rules.

    4. To put it plainly, you screwed up pretty bad with these two posts. So for your sake, go read the forum rules you agreed to follow upon registration, and don't make the same mistakes again.
