I need some help on the topic, my main questions is:
Are there any good double axes???
    Are they the feats worth???
Can it pay off to be specialize in great axe as well(same time as the double axe)?
Are the feats usefull at all??(amidex,2wep fight, improved and so on)
    What good alternatives are there.

    Thanks for the help

I would personally say take great axe as your speciality.
I've found few very nice great axes, but not a single double axe with anything special. Just some +1 versions.

Though.. if you think double axe fits your character better - use it. Afterall it is supposed to be roleplaying..

I partially answered this question in the other thread I posted, but I'll add some more here.

First, there are better double axes than just +1 versions. But I have never found one with interesting properties beyond being +3 or whatever. The smith definitely enchants a diremace and maybe does a double axe, but I can't recall exactly.

If you are asking *solely* for a comparison of great axe vs double axe, I would say go with the great axe. Your damage output over time is likely to be roughly the same either way. However, properly using a double axe requires you to have Ambidexterity, Two Weapon Fighting, Improved Two Weapon Fighting, and Exotic Weapon Proficiency. That is in addition to any Weapon Focus/Weapon Specialization you might want.

A fighter can certainly afford that, but its a fairly steep cost. If you think the double axe is just more cool, then go for that certainly. But if your only roleplaying concern is using a big two handed axe, the great axe is the more versatile weapon. You can take those four feats and use them on nifty stuff instead.
