    Day and Night Cycle!!!!
I'm willing to bet nobody will notice that there is no Day night cycle. (unless they read this topic:))

You're party is going to enter an area, explore/fight, chat/buy equipment etc, and then leave.

When the time come to rest, it will happen at night, just like when everyone else sleeps.

At times you may be ambushed as you're setting up, or just have set up a camp to bunk down for the night. Or you may have a side quest where you break into a house, so it will be night when that happens, becuase the servents should be asleep, and there are more shadows to hide behind.

Or you'll just be underground, or inside a building where they have torch light or something like that.

Most people will find that events take place when they should. Most things will happen during the day, as usual. Long distance travel will be similer to BG where long periods of boring walking around will be condensed by some means we haven't figured out yet, unless you hit a random encounter.

The toolset doesn't need a day/night cycle because of the way we are building levels requries spicific lighting passes by artists. That means that we have to relight any area that has both a day, and a night scene.

    Time progression, resting and inventory

    Well, here's my two pence:

A toggle. In the options screen when you're starting the campaign, or hosting a server for multiplayer, you choose between:

    Unlimited
    Limited
    Realistic...
From my experience, anytime development has an option to enable/disable a feature, it usually means it's a niche feature, and will not be used by enough people to warrant development spending time implementing it.

There are some exceptions, like difficulty, hardware optimization, accessibility, etc. However, most of the time a developer is better off not building the feature. Either it is part of the game, or it is not.

    Period/Early Music for DA
I personally dislike it when some period movies try to gain accessibility by putting in a funky/new wave/ rock'n sound track.

It ruins the suspension of disbelief for me completely.

RPG Addict in need of help
While Planescape: Torment is extremely dated now, I found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable game none the less. I spent a chunk of the past summer playing it. :D
