Here are today's Dragon Age forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    WW's Subraces and DA's Races
Not having seen Rob's sub-races in WW, I really couldn't say. And beyond that I'm not sure what the question is. We don't have anything like sub-races in DA, period.

    More:
your going to have playable orcs and goblins though, Right?
No. Though I like the assumption that we would even have orcs and/or goblins.

I just remembered why I loved Icewind Dale. (And yes, this is on topic.)
The party members, in the DA single-player campaign at least, are all pre-generated NPC's that you encounter during the game. You do not create your own party, just your own PC.

    will persistent worlds be in?

It is not because it's not D&D ;)
It's also not because it's far from having the same goals as NWN. Even saying "it's an enhanced NWN minus the D&D" would still be incorrect. The focus here is on the single-player campaign, not the toolset.

    Selectable PC Personalities

For the official Dragon Age campaign, you'll likely only be able to create a single character. This isn't a "for sure", but it sounds like the designers are certainly thinking in that direction.
It's a "for sure", at least as far as the single-player campaign goes.

And the idea of assigning "generic personalities" to PC's has come up before. My only problem with that is that's exactly what you end up with: generic personalities. It sounds like a good idea until you actually try to write it, though some limited implementation of this might be better than nothing if it came down to that.

    Storyline tone?
Err... I think Ed just meant that not all the choices are black and white; sometimes you will be faced with choices where it's not clear which is the right (or wrong) one. And by "not sanitized" he meant that we aren't shying intentionally away from moral extremes.

This does not mean we are pandering or obsessed with angst and all things dark and evil. It does mean that we aren't being artifically held to a heroic standard... though I believe quite heartily that every opportunity for heroism should still exist and be fun. If that's what you're looking for, then great. If not, then perhaps DA won't be what you're looking for.

    Toolset ideas
Printing support isn't hard. I have done it many times. No, will it be in DA? I don't know.
