I'm a huge fan of the original Final Fantasy game (the one, the true, the original...the bible of RPG's if you ask me :thumb: ) and I think I may buy Origins, especially since it also includes FF2 which has never been released in the US.

I'm also really interested in Dragon Warrior 7, which has just been released stateside. According to it's packaging, it's the #1 all time selling RPG in Japan, but I haven't heard butkus about it here. Has anyone played it? I'd really like to know if it's worth picking up!! I can only afford one or the other right now.

    Thanks.

Buy Origins! It's really great if you don't mind the graffics ;)
And also buy Dragon Warrior 7, i've never actually played it but i've spent a cuople of hours at my friends and watched him play it (wouldn't let me touch the pad the bastard :) ) and as soon as i get a little cash i'm buying the game. Don't worry about being dissapointed, i guarantee that you will love, hate, and have a great time, just like with other FF-games :thumb:

How about the FF2 portion of FF:Origins? I've never played any of the other early FF games. Are there more classes available than the first one? Is the game as long as/as good as the first one?

Anyone else played Dragon Warrior 7? Does it bare any relation to the earlier Dragon Warrior games? I've only played 1 and 2 (old school Nintendo, baby).

Actually, I just broke down and bought FF:O yesterday, and wasn't all that excited to play it anymore. The spark has died in me, sadly. I'm returning it to the store today. :(

I suppose it's tough to go back to a tricycle once you've owned a Ferarri. I'm just lucky I can return it at all, because the disc is defective (the screen jumps - damn PS1 games on a PS2). Oh well. I may rent Dragon Warrior 7 first and see, because I should've learned my lesson by now about my little "impulse shopping" problem when it comes to games.
