HomeLAN Fed shares Dragonshard impressions. Here's a snip:

While we have known about the plans for Dungeon and Dragons: Dragonshard for some time now, we have never actually seen the upcoming RTS title in live action..that is until Tuesday where during a press event for some upcoming PC games from publisher Atari we got to see a live demo of the Liquid Development created title in action for ourselves, along with running commentary from Liquid’s head man Ed Del Castillo.

While this game may at first seem like a quick attempt to get a D&D themed RTS title on the shelves, our time viewing the live demo and talking with Castillo convinced us that this will be more than just the normal fantasy strategy game. The single player campaign is actually being crafted as more of an action-RPG (a la Diablo) but with some tactical strategy that an RTS game can provide. For another thing, the tradition tech tree for units isn’t in Dragonshard for the most part. In most of the single player game and in all of the multiplayer game you get access to all of the game’s units from all the three major playable sides at once. The tech tree in this game has been replaced somewhat with the ability to upgrade some of your units with better stats, abilities and more.
