RPG Vault has published the second peek on Dragonshard. This time, Liquid's Ed Del Castillo talks about abilities and levelling. Here's a snip:

When a character is made in the Dragonshard world, he or she is a product of training from a building. Initially, they emerge a first level. Each has a set of stats that have been reshaped to be pertinent to RTS, a major weakness, a specific damage type and a special ability.

The new stats reflect some much needed diversity in RTS, and indicate what kind of enemies the character will be able to defend against. While the stats might not match the D&D world one to one, we really worked on making them lend to the D&D feel of the whole game. Coupled with the Achilles heel that each has for a certain character type, it creates an immediate match-up situation, where unit choice can be the difference between glory or death.
