A Dragonshard preview has been posted at 1UP. Here's a clip:

Light some candles. Put on your party hats. Dungeons and Dragons turns 30 this year. In appropriate celebration, Dragonshard, a D&D real time strategy game, is on its way. Developed by Liquid Entertainment, the RTS studio most recently behind The Lord of the Rings RTS (the Vivendi Universal release, not the recent Electronic Arts movie-based release) Dragonshard blends fantasy art and comic book aesthetics with a stable strategy engine for promising results.
Like the recently released Armies of Exigo, Dragonshard features two planes of combat. There will be both above ground and below ground realms to wage war on. When you take your questing party beneath, you open up the chance to fight stronger enemies and find that extra special loot. While you are questing in an underground cave, however, you won't have to worry about your earthly strongholds.
