[IMG] ...why do people always want to kill him?

Anyway, by far the easiest way to kill Drizzt is by getting him to go to kill Bodhi and co with you. When you go down to the second level, in the corridor just before the door to where Bodhi and co are, out of all the people you got to help you, only Drizzt and one of the Knights from the Radiant Heart (if you got their services too) will go with you.

Simply surround Drizzt with all your characters wielding good melee weapons and attack him, he goes down in seconds without his friends to help!

The take his weapons (only to lose them later :( )

I killed him because I thought it was lame that the makers of Baldur's Gate 2 could have put him into a game that has nothing to do with him. I have not and will not read the "Drizzt Books" and for me killing him is no different to killing Cohrvale and Bregg...just more challenging.

This is my "opinion" and it's worth 2 cents... or less.

I killed him just because I thought he was a pompous jerk. On a lighter note though, if you create an elf named Drizzt and have a reputation lower than 8 when you meet him, he'll actually get mad and attack you for stealing his name!

His scimitars are nice for any character using that style, but you still lose them pretty quickly.

    [IMG] BG Confessions:

I've never killed Drizzt. Never had a reason to. He seems like a likable fellow. It reminds me of the newbies in Abizigal's lair, trying to take on someone above their league, a reload later they wise up.

I killed him once, the first time one meets him, just to see if I could do it. It was far too easy, but that was probably because I had removed the exp cap.

Anyway, I thought he was a perfectly amicable fellow, so I was always nice to him.

    Plus I never used scimitars.

I have read all the Drizzt books (whether that means anything or not) so when the thought comes to killing him, I am horrified. He is above all, my favorite elven characture (topping Legolas from LOTR). However, I would not mind fighting him for the challenge and overall experience although I never have (obviously).

A question that has come to my mind right now. If you get Drizzt to help you on Chapter Six and he dies killed by Bodhi or as a 'collateral' effect of a AoE spell, can you keep his stuff?

Well it seems that no matter whether it is you or someone else (Bodhi or another monster/summoned creature) that kills Drizzt, you can take his stuff, but not long after that guy comes along and collects it. You can't kill him ('Imoen's belt' item which makes him, like Imoen in Dungeon, unkillable) and he'll take the items. It's no big deal there are far better items than his dumb swords, though his armour is rather good!

I suppose you can cheat with the Shadow Keeper editor to change some variable to stop the guy appearing, but I've not tried this!

I don't hate Drizzt any more than I hate Irenicus or Bodhi or Abazigal or Sendai or...or...or...

    Why love him?

I killed Drizzt to see what items he had, but then I reloaded. I think it's cool that "legendary" characters appear in the BG series.

I never heard of Drizzt until I met him in this game - doesn't seem anything special about him to me - just more sword fodder! Certainly I've never heard of any books about him until coming here! Anyway (in BG II at least) he served his purpose helping to clear out those pesky vamps!

It probably wouldn't matter to most of you people whether you were a lawful good paladin, you would still kill him. Killing him is OoC for anyone with an intellegence over 5 or are chaotic evil. If it was PnP then your character would be murdered on the spot for killing one of the greatest hero's of the Realms!
That is the problem with CRPG's, its all powergaming.

i hink they should make him much more powerful as well :( He is rather easy to beat.
And they should implement these things Aikanaro
said only with adiffrence. There would be random appearances of those who would wish to kill you for murder of Drizzt. And finaly someone VERY powerful should come along with Big chance to destroy you (but in real battle not animation). With the destroyal of that one others would be scared away and you reputation would fall for 5 points :)

They shouldn't make him much powerful since he simpy isn't. It's just your party are fully of demi-gods. You can kill dragons and combat-wise Drizzt can't take a dragon one-on-one. (Whether his full party can take out a red dragon combat-wise is also doubtful)

I play evil parties so I always kill Drizzt on first sight :D Oh well I don't kill him when sometimes I play a good PC (which is VERY rare).

Personally I like to kill Drizzt because he's good. I'm evil... at least in games ;) So finally a hero of good is slain and evil triumphs another day
