Although it's never stated implicitly, I think moonlight, as well as sunlight, dissolves Drow armor.

    ;)

It is stated inside gametips that appear when you're loading game or enter a new area. As soon as you step outside the Underdark, the drow equipment will decompose.

Ah, but only a few areas check to see if the game needs to disolve a suit of armor. If you CLUA Console it into the game after leaving the exit of the underdark area, the suit won't disolve. Just a little F.Y.I. :rolling:

Isn't Adamantite a metal, since Archers and Stalkers can use them?

I've heard if you give all your drow armour to a character, kick them out of group and instruct them to go to the Copper Coronet, the armour will still be with them when you go to pick them up. Never tried it myself because it seemed like cheating.

Or drop it instantly as you emerge form the Underdark. Then talk with the elves (...). And then place the characters in such distance from each other, so it is possible to give items from one to other and stand on the dropped armors with the first character. Then pause and pass the items to the edge of the map while stil paused. Equip, unpause and run from the area...
You must do this on the Drizzt encounter as well.

This was in the Dan Simpson's faq. Nice trick.

That's way to much work when all you have to do is type: CLUAConsole:CreateItem("DWPLATXX").

And, yes, if you equip an npc with a drow plate and then tell them to go to the Copper Coronet they will still have the plate because like I said, the game only checks a few places to see if you have drow items. :rolling:

It seemed so unfair to lose all my drow armor and weapons, when I had carefully placed it in my bag of holding before leaving the underdark. Surely its dark enough inside a bag of holding?

I was planning to save it for use only in subterranean adventures.

And in the books it took weeks for Drizzt's armor and weapons to dissolve.

I cheated and kept the Drow Elven Chain. It's just too cool for a fighter/mage, looks awsome and has great AC as well as -1 casting speed and 5% MR...

    Just one trick more:

If you cheat the armour in the game before you leave Underdark you can wear it in sunlight.
So you could cheat it in in the beggining of chapter 1 and having it well over half of game.

But of course this is pure cheating.

[IMG] give one of your charactors the Drow items and have your Familiar steal it from them. Then once you are past the check point talk to it to get the items back. If you are not a mage use the potion swap trick to get one.
