    Hi there,
today i decided that i will start IWD again...and therefore use classes i never used before *G*
So i thought I 'll take a Druid with me... and i noticed that they require Charisma ...hmmm :) ...they do get their spells from wisdom right? but what does the charisma modifier do for them ? Does it anything at all ? *gG*

    cheers

2ed rules. Its similar in BG II also. Charisma is a class stat along with Wis. Apparently it has something to do with charming animals

Druids are not cute, but the charisma helps. You're aiming in the right direction, though. If they must have charisma, then it should be be good for something peculiar to druids. It's not, and that's a gap in the rules.

So druids only need wisdom for spellcasting, right?
    Charisma and intelligence is useless?

In the 2nd ed P&P rules, someone needs 12 WIS and 15 CHAR minimum to qualify as a druid, not everybody can become druids, and this rule just simulates it.

In IWD, CHA is useful as it affects the prices in shops. Have the highest CHA person be the leader and make the purchase, you will find a huge benefit. Also, Friends spell is marvelous, if you already have a very beautiful and charming enchanter, casting this spell on top of it will give you inhuman beauty and prices will fall greatly.

I think INT and WIS affects some dialgues in the game, you need minimum requirements to come up with some dialgue options. Example and small spoiler:Albion in Dragons Eye, you can learn his true intent if you are smart.

Druids need WIS for spellcasting, and a god 18 WIS to be able to cast 7th level spells, or so the manual and D&D rules say. Highest WIS also gives bonus spells for clerics and druids (not for rangers and paladins though) and is supposed to give bonuses vs spells which affect mind. (hold, charm, confusion, etc.)

Yeah, but other than dialogues and barter, int and char are unnecessary for druid. I mean for combat abilities.
