    [IMG] I've just started playing a druid, he's now level 10 and about a third of the way throuh chapter 2. I was surprised at just how powereful he was... He has a total of three strong minions (companion, henchman and summon) and he can cast a fair few powerful offensive spells like a wizard. PLUS he can shapeshift and become a formidable combatant. Also, unlike a wizard, he has a decent base attack bonus and a d8 hit die, PLUS he can wear armour and use a shield, so my guy has a whopping 24 AC :D :D :D .

    Has anyone else tried out a druid?

    I'm playing a multiclass druid currently. I've always like druids even back in 1st edition. They are even better in pnp, though the whys and wherefores are a bit different.

    Wait until you get the real shapeshifting powers at 16th level.

    Nope. BG2 killed what little faith I had in druids. Besides, I'm too busy powerplaying with my ranger.

    @shadows
    Rangers cast spells as well at higher levels, plus fight a lot better than druids.

    I have not played a druid in NWN, but I have checked them out in the PG, and they certainly have some nice spells.

    yea but as you must have seen ranger spells dont match druid arsenals... i say the druid is better. more versatile . and if it important to you he is also more in touch with nature.
