So I got married. After the ceremony she walks out of the church and is... gone. It was the sister of the Riverwood trader. I went back to the Riverwood trader - she's not there. I went to my home in Whiterun (which is the only home I own) - she's not there either. WTF?

Also completed finding the horn last night, and I had a ROFL moment in the room with all the fire traps. As I approached the end of the room, I noticed two frostbite spiders, and I sniped both of them. As I approached the end of the room, there's a platform that you can see doesn't have traps on it, so I proceed there, and immediately one of the giant variety of frostbite spiders dropped down from the ceiling. Now the giant ones are a lot harder even for my now somewhat well equipped character. I can take them, but because I had a bow out, I immediately retreated straight backwards down the stairs, to try and get a few shots off.

The giant spider couldn't fit down the narrow passage way of the stairs, and then proceed to walk around - through the heavily fire trapped area of the room. Set off trap after trap, and roasted himself. I hit him with a few arrows as he walked around, but I think he took much more damage from the traps than my arrows.

Go back to the church, I lost my wife as well and couldn't find here anywhere. Found her back in the church despite seeing her leave the church right after the wedding.

I'm sorry guys but this has to be one of the funniest things I've read in ages. Only on a gaming forum could someone say 'My wife vanished as she walked out the Church' and get a serious answer!

At least she wasn't found somewhere on the grounds with the best man (like in that [in]famous security video). ;)

Honestly, I just wanted to see how this aspect of the game worked. Well, that and have an essentially free 100gp per day income source. (I think that alone is well worth making your spouse someone who isn't also a follower.)

From a RP standpoint, I think Muiri would make a lot of sense for Assassins out there, and she's pretty cute too (at least as compared to some of the old hags that are also marriage-eligible).

I wanted to reply that she probably ran off because she found out you were already married...

Best remedy against the wife vanishing on you is to cut the epilogue of the ceremony short by tabbing out of it, dashing after your spouse and hitting her/him... * with the conversation button, *before* she/he gets out of the door.

    * = Come on you twisted fellas - I KNOW you were thinking about alternate endings to the meaning. Just admit it and you're on your way to becoming a better person. ;)
