Here's what I think the stats of certain characters of the D&D movie are

    Ridley

Dual Class Mage (lvl 1) SwashBuckler

    str 17
    con 15
    dex 18
    wis 13
    int 16
    cha 14

Ridley really is a difficult choice and I think he could as easily be a fighter/thief multi as a mage swashy dual. (the mage part is because, he uses the rod of Red Dragons and the swashy part, because I feel he is definatly a theif, but, he is a much better fighter then Snails was. (not that that would have been hard ;) )

    Demodar

    Definatly a Beserker

    str 18/00
    con 18
    Dex 16
    wis 10
    int 12
    cha 9

Demodar came across to me as a loyal follower of Prophian although he is not the brightest person of the bunch, his skill and strength suggests a seasoned experienced fighter, who has seen enough battles to get the wis and int score I think he has. and since he's probably in his late 30's to early 40's his reflexes would be slowing down.

Tracker elf (whatever her name is)

    Ranger

    str 17
    con 15
    dex 19 (elf bonus)
    wis 14
    int 12
    cha 11

this character had virtualy no character building if any, so the stats are based on her class, and race. lower str an con because BG desciribed Elves as finely chiseled bones, and the rest for the same reason as Demodar

I don't see the reason why they get so high a strength score. Ridley is 14 at best, even though he doesn't look even that. Constitution might be a bit too big, too. Intelligence stat is, IMHO, also too high. He's expected to be brilliant in thieving stuff per his class. He seems a bit smarter than the rest of the mob, but not really the level of a mage. I don't say 16 is impossible, but there are no signs pointing to exceptional intelligence. Wisdom is more like 12 for me.

The elf's strength stat is also definitely too high. There's no way she picks up 340 lbs, sorry. She's no stronger or not much stronger than Ridley from what may be seen in the movie. IIRC she has some muscles, so maybe 14 if we're being generous. Just imagine what a woman of 17 STR without magical enhancement should look like. Even a man looks like two men with such a mass of muscle and the elf is pretty thin and slender. The biggest STR I've ever seen in a thin thin MALE is 14, let alone the females. Granted, she has some muscle, so 14 might be justified. But no more. Con 15 is not impossible in her case, but I think even real badass elven warriors don't really exceed 13. Imagine how much a 16 CON (17 per 3E) human differs from an average mortal and you get the idea of what an elf with 15 CON is.

Wow - someone actually thought about that "movie" long enough to actually decide what stats the "characters" would have...

    Amazing...

    @ Chevalier
Well in retrospect I'd have to say I agree with you there, but woulden't someone have to be smart to know how to use a dragon scepter?

    @ Falstaff
lol, I just had some time to waste and I was thinking about the movie at the time :)

@casey: 12 INT is really smart, 13 INT is very smart. 12 might or might not, but 13 would probably do ;) And he doesn't have to have a level in any mage class, the sceptre might have not been restricted. Use Magical Device skill in 3E might help him. In 2E the sceptre would have to be esable by thieves. Also in 2E there would be no way back to thief class. Forever magic user.

    Here's my take:

Snitches (or whatever that guy's name is):
    STR: 10
DEX: 6 (let's face it, he's a really clumsy thief)
    CON: 7
    INT: 4
    WIS: 0
    CHA: -One million

    Ridley:
    STR: 12
    DEX: 12
    CON: 11
    INT: 10
    WIS: 2
    CHA: 9

Zoe (was that the female mage's name?)
    STR: 9
    DEX: 13
    CON: 11
    INT: 14
    WIS: 14
    CHA: 15

The female mages name was Marina I think

And Snails the clumsy theif (he would have made a better Bard with his high pitched voice). ONLY having 7 con?!
he might have been weak annoying and clumsy, sure I can agree with all that, that he was about Jar Jar Binks x10 but remember that huge smackdown he got from Demodar? I think that earns him 10 at least in the con dept. When they killed snails that for me was one of the best parts of the movie
