    How advanced is the game?

The game's been up and running internally for a while now. Granted, not all systems are complete, but it's been in a playable state for quite a few months. In fact, every Friday the whole team gets into the game to test the changes made over the last week, so I can personally tell you that things are looking pretty good these days

    when one dies

Sorry, I can't give any details yet on our death penalty. We're hoping that players will see it as significant enough that they care about dying, but not so bad that it drives people away from the game.

In other words, not "I died again. So what?" but not "OMG! I'm canceling my account!" either.

    Warforged

They're good, but not that good -- otherwise, everyone would be playing them. As Nem pointed out, being immune to poison, paralysis, and enegry drain is really, really nice. 25% resistance to crits and sneak attacks is pretty good too. Finally, being able to get the equivalent of Full Plate, plus DR 2/adamantine, at first level with a single feat (Adamantiue Body) is a great deal if you're playing a fighter-type.

As for the healing deficiency, this is a bit of a problem, but the repair damage series that wrigghawk mentions will most likely be available to sorcerers and wizards in our game.

Overall, they're pretty solid, but not particularly better than the other core races. Since there's no level adjustment on them, this is as it should be.
