Here are today's Dungeons & Dragons Online forum highlights, collected from Dungeons & Dragons Online forums. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Multiclassing?

The current plan is to have the standard XP penalties as laid out in the 3.5 SRD.

    Character Parties?

If you ask members of the Dev Team about their experiences playing D&D, most of us will say something about sitting around a table with a handful of our good friends and an ample supply of rulebooks, dice, pencils, pizza, and caffeinated beverages. By handful, I mean five or six players and a DM -- not one player and a DM, and not 40 players and a DM.

This is part of what we generally consider to be the "essence" of D&D. It's important to us to capture this essence in our game, and this is why DDO will focus on adventures for small groups of characters, as opposed to solo players or very large groups.

Few dev posts there and a half was about moving/closing threads. Hmmm... are they actually making the game or what? :D ;)

Be glad you don't have to deal with a similar amount of text the BioWare devs spill out on a daily basis. How those people can actually get anything done is beyond me. Considering the amount of posts and the average length of what they post on the forums daily, coupled with them having to read everything prior to answering... well, it must take several hours.

Well, maybe it's their way to make a believable deadline, which would be much sooner if they didn't post, and would leave a less professional approach, as professionalism usually in synonym for late, slow and long process.
