1UP has posted a detailed preview of Turbine's upcoming Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, comprising three pages of text. Here's a snip:

"It's more that we wanted that kind of Adventure Park style theme in which there are a number of different things which you can go and do," says lead designer Ken Troop about Dungeons & Dragons Online. Fittingly, this observation came at the end of our conversation. It neatly crystallized the wave of information that had just swept over us around a theme we kept hearing repeated: having fun.

Irrespective of what we were discussing, fun invariably came up as the principle by which the course was decided. It's the wisdom of experience (Troop served as producer on both Asheron's Call 1 and 2) in his voice as he admits to a trap even he has fallen into. "You start to try to live up to what you think the stage is," he says. "What's more likely to happen is that because you create a really fun game or really fun experience, a world and community will form around that."
