Dwarf with 20 con?

Hello.

Is there a way to rise dwarf consitution to 20, other than equiping him with Lonsome road (axe +1 con).

 

If you don't have HoW installed the random trasure in the snake statue in DE level 1 can be a potion which raises constitution permanently.

In HoW (Burial Isle underground) you can get an armor which raises con by 2.

But regeneration for 20 con isn't that great, it's too slow to be effective in combat and even a full rest won't regenerate all hitpoints at higher levels. With HoW your whole party can regenerate 12 times as fast if you have a bard singing the right song.

 

Basically the only decent tactic IMO to employ with such a high CON (and this works with a temporary score that high) is to just be grateful for the bonus when traveling long distances.

 

Hm, I see. I asumed that with constitution of 20 the time to regenerate should be quick as with potion of regeneration.

I do have a bard in the party (LvL 9 ). Which song helps to regenerate hit points?

 

War Chant of the Sith.

It's the last song, you get it at level 9.

After you get it, you can choose spells other than the cure ____ wounds for your divine casters. I'd keep a Heal or two memorized though.

 

You get the war chant at level 11 (220,000 XP)

 

I must admit nowadays I generally just edit the constitution tables and set regen to the slowest rating on all con stats no matter what, I'm just sick of resting 8 hours and getting 1 HP. Getting lazy in my old years.

 

You could just turn on the "rest until healed" option instead.

 

Rest until healed can be a bit silly in IWD, with sleeping 72 days etc. I just find that having the slowest regen on all characters change absolutelly nothing in combat, but gives some more hp back when traveling and resting. Just makes it "less annoying".
