Ease of Use mods & crashing in the Ice Temple

[IMG] Hey all, I could use some expert insight:

I installed the ease of use mods to speed up gameplay, makes things run more smoothly, etc. I also was getting annoyed that my solo rogue wizard could never find higher level spells. I was squatting at 8th level wizard with 4 levels waiting in the wings until I could find scrolls above 4th level, then I got tired of waiting.

So, I used the ease of use "teleport" feature to go forward in the game and buy some scrolls. Now that I'm back (in the ice temple courtyard, after killing Sherincal), I can't enter the temple itself--everytime I try, the game crashes. I'm guessing I messed up some globals in forced dialogs, cutscenes, etc. by teleporting forward to the cold marshes and monastery to buy spells, but I'm not sure what to do to fix it. I really don't feel like going back to an old save and moving forward without the new spells. I mean, what's the use of being a wizard if you can't cast spells? Besides, my most recent save is about 20k experience points ago, and I don't want to replay all those hours.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? Or, if there isn't a way to fix it, is there any way to get the game to load the ice temple for me, without me having to walk through the front door? Maybe add another stop on the teleport list?

    Thanks

The lack of scrolls is indeed annoying. Load an old save, and create the scrolls you want with the console. If you don't want to cheat be sure to dump the appropriate amount of money, so that you have essentially bought them from the console.

This is exactly why I prefer sorcerers over wizards. You're not dependant on scroll drops to get your spells.
