Bit of a strange request this one. I'm looking for a volunteer to record some dialogue for me for a mission I'm putting together in Operation Flashpoint. I need someone to read the lines for the mission's Resistance contact. In the game the resistance are sort of Eastern European so I'd prefer to have the dialogue read with a convincing accent.

So, if you can speak English (with an appropriate accent), can record some WAV files on your PC with a microphone, can email them to me, and want to become famous as a great voice actor via my next Op Flash mission :), drop me an email. Full credit and much thanks will be given. If you want to see the sort of thing I'm doing see this mission:

The mission I need the voices for will be different in nature in that it has a strong story element and gives the player a number of dilemmas to solve.

I haven't actually written all the dialogue yet but there won't be too much. It'll be along the lines of:

"What kept you?" - read impatiently
"I have some extra info that might help" - read neutrally

PS just been reminded, yep unfortunatley the role needs a male voice :( Baratone voiced ladies will also be considered :)

Hmmm... guess I can't help then. But if you need a sultry French female voice, I can do that. Resistance, perhaps? Oh- and I can do most of the voices from the Princess Bride when I've had enough to drink. I guess you don't need, "You killed my father, prepare to die"? Too bad there were no Russians in the story...

[Edit: Mais oui, the god, I have been doing "Michelle of the Resistance" in my spare time since the very first episode of 'Allo 'Allo first aired! Glad to detect a fellow fan. Slappy, sorry for this digression.]

I could watch The Hunt for Red October a few dozen times and then give you my best Sean Connery Scottish/Russian hybrid! ;)

Thanks for the offers :) and also for reminding me just how bad an English speaking person can be when trying to sound Russian (Mr Connery).

Actually there are Russians in the mission but I have bee able to use the Russian sound bytes (actually in Russian not English) within the game for their lines.

As to working in a sultry French female. It's a bit tricky at the moment as I think the game only has male models. However, a full model editor has now been released so maybe someone will knock up a women (if you'll excuse the expression). If they end up looking like the waitresses in Allo Allo (the first two anyway) I might end up playing the game even more :)

PS to those not in the know about the Allo Allo references, here's the 'listen very carefully.....'

    As to the waitresses:

Thanks for the offer, let me know if a mike does turn up :)

Sadly it looks like my Resistance Contact is going to have to be a mute who communicates through mime and writing :)
