[IMG] Hey guys I just wanted to ask, how long do you think it would take an ecl heavy party to reach "decent" levels and at what part of the game? I was just wonddering because I thought of restarting my game (again) and create a party compromising of deep gnomes and drows, although I think I can't play with only 4 characters or less, any suggestions? Have any of you tried something like this? Thanks! :)

Actually, an all ECL party won't end up leveling up all that more slowly than a regular one. When the game calculates XP, it bases it on average party level. But it only counts actual class levels, not the effective party level. So, a party of level 5 Drow (making them ECL 7) gets XP as if they are level 5 characters. Essentially this means there are going to be many situations in the game where you are getting MORE XP than a regular party would. This will help to balance out the ECL penalty.

You think you "can't" play with only 4 characters or less? God why?! I just played through with 4 characters. 1 Deep Gnome, 2 Drow and an Aasimar. With a little level squating, I found my characters to all be around level 19 by the time I faced Isair & Madae. That's a solid 2 levels above my first party of 6. IMHO, 2 extra levels for my main 4 characters (specially since they're all ECL chars) was well worth having 2 less characters. And they were easier to manage than a 6 person party.

[IMG] Thanks for the reply man, anyway it's not that I can't play with 4 characters or less (I do enjoy a challenge and powergaming) it's just that I enjoy playing with more pc's. :)
