I'm pretty new to the toolset thing but I'm starting off by just playing around with making new items and equipment for my characters. I always like the two story items I mentioned in the title (The Sword of Gith and The Ceremonial Sword of Neverwinter).
However when I tried to locate them in the toolset I found The sword of Gith (I think) but it wasn't the same as in the game. I know it changed depending on your character in the game and I was wondering if there was any way anyone knew how to change HOW it changed.
Also I can't even find the Ceremonial Sword of Neverwinter. I tried a search and it came up with nothing! I looked and looked but it doesn't seem to be there. Can anyone tell me where it can be found and if/how I can edit it?

It's certainly possible to add item properties via scripts - I would imagine, if the item itself in the toolset is different, that this is how they do it. Jump on the Vault and download one of the 'forges', it'll give you an example of how to change properties of an item.

How to get the game itself to make the change? Well, at a guess, run a search through the game scripts for the Sword tag, edit the script itself and then throw it in an override. I'm afraid I've never spent any time even thinking about how to edit the original game, so I'm not sure if the override works that simple, but it's worth a shot.
