I have the WeiDu Item Upgrade and Ease of Use mods that allow Edwin to get an Edwina portrait. I had him in speed boots before his Nether Scroll Quest. Once he turns girl and back again, his avatar skateboards rather than walks and he says the wrong thing in places.

I decided to get the Baldurdash bugfix to remove these 2 problems and now speed boots won't affect Edwin, he won't speed up.

I deleted the Baldurdash mod files and even tried killing and ressurecting him. No change.

Any ideas how to fix it so that he can speed up like he was before?

    Last resort is reinstallation.

[IMG] I presume you have tried removing them then re-equpping them :p

hmm, try removing them, putting them on another character. If they work, save the game, go to main menu then load it up and put them on Edwin.

Oh yeah - what other EQ has old Eddy got on?

There is no "script" fix for that problem in case you have ToB installed because of the ToB engine problem. Sorry. Baldurdash's fix doesn't work.

To get the boots working for all partymembers as they should, your only option is to manually (with ShadowCheater or NearInfinity) remove attached sexchange effects from Edwin. Because if you do reinstall the game, any possible thief in your party will lose backstab ability and etc.

There are another two ideas on how to bypass this mess, but first one is about changing the exe file which is not legal and the second one needs mastery in item editing.

Pardon the ignorance, but could someone tell me why it isn't legal to change the .EXE file, but it is OK to modify the living snot out of the rest of the program? I don't get what makes the one thing illegal and the other OK.
