Edwin's Amulet

    [​IMG] nope - and it wouldn´t be quite prudent to remove it at all (it can be done with shadowkeeper) for it grants good ol´ Edwin quite a number of extra spells (making him one of the best mages in the game) ;)

    I suppose the Amulet is usable by Edwin only? With SK you should be possible to wear it, but does is give you the same extra spells as with Edwin?

    if you can modify the amulet so that everybody can where it I guess that you can use it's abilities as well. (if you are cheating why don't just change the abilities of a normal amulet that you can use extra spells)

    -The amulet is usable by Edwin only. You can give it to your char with shadowkeeper but I´d bet that you´ll find it in your inventory after the next level up.
    -I don´t know how many spells it gives - just count Ed´s spells and then remove the amulet with shadowkeeper, load the edited file and count again ...
    -And yes, you are able to edit the amulet with some of the tools from Team BG, but that´s a tricky business and if you don´t work properly your game will crash. Be careful, make a backup of your savagame *before* !!!

    And finally: Why the hell do you all want this crappy amulett? It´s Edwin´s ... means it is a personal feature of this particular character as a red wizard of tay ... it´s just like Minsc´s strength of 18/93 ...

    So why do you feel you *really need* another spellcasting abiliy booster with three magerings, the amuulett of power, the amulett of metaspell influence and dhakkon´s zerthblade readily available in the game ???

    I personally doubt that ... why not editing the amulett of power so that everyone can wear it? Doing so is cheating as I think and it will destroy the gameplay. It´s nice to toy around a bit with some nice selfmade items after finishing the game, I did so myself in BG-1, but the items available in BG-2 are good enough for my taste so here is no real need to fill up an *equipment gap* :rolleyes: and so I find myself preacing my 1000th post ... AAAARGH !!! :rolleyes:

    ragusa is right. i've tried and it sucks...much better getting the amulet of power than that crappy amulet edwin's devoted his time to.

    Before saying it sux has anyone noticed that edwin has nearly TWICE the number of spells he should have. The amulet of Power IMHO can't be even compared to Edwins amulet.

    [​IMG] However, this great spellcasting ability is a result of Edwin being a red wizard of tay ... and since you aren´t one and your name isn´t Edwin there are two good reasons for you *not* to have it ... :D
