    So I got a message on Facebook from my half-brothers' fiancé saying to phone him asap as he has something to tell me and he might not have called me yet. So I phone him and leave a message. Then I settle down to worry for a while. As some of you might know I don't keep in touch with my paternal side of the family that well. Dad disappeared when I was little and it's hard to keep in touch with a side of the family that is so far away and the go-between has the reliability of Bhaal giving you a call some time after a magical night together. So my brother needed to call me and I was nudged along to this from his fiancé because my number was on his old phone.

    I wondered what was wrong this time.

    Turns out Dad was in hospital after having a stroke. His wife didn't sound too worried about it but the scan to check the level of damage would be the next day. The daft sod is having to change his diet slightly and drop smoking and excessive drinking.

    He's fine apparently but his speech will take a while to recover.
