Elhan attacking party! No way out?

I don't know why, but after leaving the underdark a character named Revianne started attacking Jaheira because Jaheira suppossedly betrayed the Harpers. My party managed to escape but upon my return, having defeated Bodhi & Co., Elhan and the Elves are suddenly my enemy and start attacking. Why? Is there a way to start the next chapter without Elhan teleporting the party? Anybody else encountered Revianne? Also, I can't fight the elves, because Silva is killed by some foul magic trick... any help would be truly appreciated. mail@gryphonent.com

 

This is a well known bug, normally Revianne or any other Haprer death squad should not be attacking her in the underdark exit area. That causes all the elves to go hostile.

There is a fix for that, luckily. Do a web search for "Manveru", on his site you can find Jaheira Improved Romance script that fixes this problem - harpers will not be attacking you in the underdark exit area.

 

Yeah that sucks. I always try to do as much of J's romance before I go Under. Anway, you may also want to download the Romance Guide here in SP. It gives you times and happenings, including what NOT to say. It's pretty good. The guy must have had to do alot of homework for that one.

 

Manveru's fix won't help you. It tends to prevent bugs, not to fix them if they've already occured.
But it doesn't matter since there is a solution.
Please download and install SPfixpack.

 

Thanks all for the help so far. I've installed Manveru's patch and downloaded SPFixPack. However, although I was able to place all the file of Manveru's patch into the override folder, the SPFixPack is Windows-only... and I've got a Mac! I figure all those files need to be taken out of their folder and be placed into the override folder? Manveru's patch alone does not fix the problem, and I don't have a game saved that was before Rivianne attacked the party.
I remember reading in one of the other topics that you've got to create a NEW Elhan charcacter with command "Elhan= C6ELHAN" - but, how do I do that on a Mac? Which file do I need to change?

I hope we can resolve this problem... already a step closer. Thanks again for all the help, hope I can chip in some hints myself when the time comes for one of you to hit a wall in those adventure worlds.

 

I had the same problem. This isn't really a fix - but it worked for me. As soon as you emerge from the Underdark, make a mad dash for the edge of the map so you can exit the area. Cast haste if you have to, just to avoid Revianne getting close enough to start a conversation. Then just go wherever you want (I went to Trademeet) and come straight back, and Revianne should be gone.

You will bump into her again in the next few areas (for me it was 2 areas later), but this way she won't make you piss off Elhan. Has anyone else tried this? I've done it twice now.

If that doesn't work, haste your party, run and talk to Elhan, and then bolt off the map right afterwards. It's tough to pull off the first time, but at least you wont have to start over. Time stop does the trick too, if you're high enough to cast it.

How does that work because as soon as you come from the Underdark, an elf talks to you and sends you to Elhan?
