Endgame (spoiler)

Discussion in 'BG2: Shadows of Amn (Classic)' started by Sir Yerril of Morningmist, Jul 3, 2001.

  1. At the end, with the cowled wizartds around the table, why do they have the skull symbol on their table? Are they children of bhaal as well? And what, exactly does a grinning skull mean? I thought it was the symbol of Bhaal or something.

PS, Woohoo! Changed me name! I am no longer named after a guinea pig, but a juvenile naive young paladin in the service of Lathander!

Miniwoo, your new name is bad. I loved the first one.

Btw, I think you should post that question in ToB forum - there was a recent speculation about those seven here but noone had the true info.

I believe the grinning skull is a symbol for god of murder, or bhaal. You see it in the bhaal temple in bg, and in the intro to SoA. You see it connected with bhaal in quite a lot places.

I dont think they're cowled wizards, I think they're a cult who knows how to resurrect bhaal, but that requires the death of the children to fuel Bhaal's rebirth

Having played through ToB now I dont think they have any connection at all to the plot. I believe Bioware made the movie before they decided how the series was to end, although i believe they were intended to be other powerful Bhallspawn. Start this topic on the ToB boards I can elaborate, for now im in fear of the dragons if I post more ToB spoilers than I already have. :D

I previously speculated that it shows pointers to BG2: Dark Alliance.

Seems to me that I was right.
