[IMG] Has anyone seen it? What did you think? I saw it last night...Not a bad movie, but a little more romance than I would have liked in a WWII flick...

It was pretty cool though...Eastern Front kicked ass!

The movie was great! But you're right about the romance element. Unforetunately, Pearl Harbor looks like it's gonna be that way too.

Ah well, in any case, the acting was brilliant. So were the effects and the costum design. Yeah, yeah I know that it wasn't all that hard to find a copy of a Russian military uniform, but it just looked good.

    [IMG] It is expensive, but.....

I LOVE seeing movies in a theatre!!!! There is nothing better than kicking back with some popcorn, a cool girl (if I'm lucky) and watching trailers and movies on the big screen!

If I have to pay $7-8 beans to see it...So be it! It's worth it to me! WhooHoo! :D

I feel the same way, Bel. I love to see movies in the theater. Anyway, I saw it and I liked it. I didn't really mind the romance all that much. I just remembered that before I saw it, one of my teachers told me that it is a real story so I guess that made it even better. (Romance and all)

I was all stoaked to go and see it last night, however my choice got vetoed by my date. Instead we went to go see 'Billy Elliot'.
I can't say that I was disappointed, it was a pretty good show.
Oh and for all those people complaining about theatre prices, we went to the new Cineplex Odeon here in town and I just assumed the price would be lower for a late run movie. I almost fell over when they charged me $24 for the two of us. YIKES.
The seats were nice and reclined, the sound was great, the slope of the floor was steep, but hell, for $24 I would expect a foot massage to be included :) (or at least a copy of the movie on DVD)

Hmm now that I think about it $12C is about $6US, I guess I can't complain too much ;)

    Hey Bel,

I am glad to here it is a good movie. I am going to get drag to see it by my fiance. Maybe now he won't have to carry me over his shoulder into the movie theater, and tie me to the chair. :D

I am a big movie junkie, but lately there hasn't been much that has made me want to go running to the theater to throw my money at someone in order to let me see it on the big screen.

BTW Hooligan - $8 is roughly £5, which is only slightly more than the UK

[IMG] How can you not go see a bunch of cute girls hopping around on stage singing with fairly decent voices?

I would think that Jossie and the Pussycats would be right up any single guys alley! They wear cat costumes for goodness sake.

I may actually see it when it comes to our cheaper theater, where I only have to pay $3.50 to see it. I have mostly been waiting for everything to come out on video.

The last really good movie I saw on the big screen was Erin Brochovich. Although I saw Miss Congeniality and that was pretty funny!

[IMG] I'm big into theatre films myself. I don't rent too many. I go early in the afternoon when its cheap and not crowded. Enemy at the Gates was alright. I think it was overproduced and overcast for what the script offered, but what else are movies for?

    Sorry, guys/gals,
but the movie is terrible. It looks to me like a sapoon opera.
Satisfy my curiousity, plz: How many movies about the SWW made from Russians did U see, so U can better compare?
    And - no, I'm not Russian, just a cine-maniac.

[IMG] Over here it's a $2.50 translation to see a movie. $1 if you see it in a shitty theatre. But I'm a fan of the Couch Potato Philiosophy. Borrow it for $1, then watch on a bed/couch with chips and a remote control while doing.. whatever else :D

[IMG] The ending was stupid. What the heck is wrong with that guy anyway. She never loved him and he worked himself up over it and decided to use his HEAD as BULLET BAIT.

I tell you, if they didn't cheese up the drama...
