Energy drain won't go away

    3 of my characters has this "energy drain" which sounds like something negative. I'm at chapter 3 now (Fell woods), but I got this already in chapter 2. Can I remove it somehow?

    Make your cleric use restoration, that should work.

    No problem, when I was new to these types of games that confounded me to no end, I had to go through my spell book for many long... uh... minutes. :)

    The Energy Drain status ailment is pathetic compared to its Baldur's Gate II incarnation. Now THAT was a pain in the ass. I went through most of the game thinking it was caused by some equipment I was wearing. Either way the effect was hardly noticeable.

    I think you got lucky there. Energy drains stack and each successful one drains 5HP permanently until you get restored. IIRC you also get a -1 to all rolls or some such thing.

    In BG II it was Level Drain that was most often used by the vampires on us. That WAS the big daddy of this spell.

    Yeah, Level Drain is what I was thinking of. That would have killed me in this game. The Energy Drain really isn't that big a deal. I guess I just never got multiple Energy Drains placed upon me because the undead critters always went down fast.
