Ok, so in my last game I was having issues with the mutiple strongholds component of the Ease of Use mod (along with some other bugs), so I made a clean install, but this time I didn't install the mutiple strongholds component...and now I remember how much I liked it. :(

So my question is: If I install that part of the mod *now* will I be able to keep any unfinished, but started, strongholds from this point forward?

I've already finished the fighter stronghold...so I don't expect to get that one...but I had the generic preist of Helm ask me to investigate the Cult (I accepted the quest, but I haven't done anything else), and as for the shadow theives, I just finished Mae'Var's personal quest, and I'm ready to start doing Edwin's quests.

Have I screwed any possibility of getting those two strongholds too? :rolling:

EoU alters the dialogue so you'll always be offered the stronghold, so as long as you haven't turned them down yet I believe you should be fine.

IIRC, to get the cleric stronghold you have to do the two mini quests first before completing the cult of the sightless eye quest. or maybe its just my game.

This may be a little off topic but in the Planar sphere stronghold, is there any kind of chance roll when it comes to your apprentices making stuff or is it all scripted. I just want to know if I could have gotten that staff of the magi.

There was a trick to know if the apprentices were going to succed or not.

Plus you get a Staff of Power, not another cheesy SoM. Staff of Power is impressive though, as it paralyses without save or so I remember, along with other nifty spell like powers.

To get SoP, ALL three apprentices should survive till the last test, and only then they MAY create it, which will kill all of them no matter what. (you will loot the staff from one of the apprentice's smouldering corpses.)

Trick is, once you give them a command, the leader will say 'it will take a few days' OR 'it will take five (four) days' Trick is, IIRC, if he says 'a few' days this means they will succeed. If he gives an exact amount of days this means they will fail and probably suffer casualties.

Simply give them an order, once the leader says 'a few days' rest for 4-5 days in your Planar Sphere continously, then go ask them. Repeat, till all is safe and alive in the final test where you would request the Staff. Save again and pray they succeed.

Remember that even they do succeedi they will all die, so I think this is a really evil thing to do, pushing young ameteurs to a dangerous job doomed for failure, over your personal gain. RP wise, I never do that. Plus, it is so heart warming when all three are graduated, safe and sound.

Your call. Hope this post helps. ;)
