    [​IMG] My link is to Rutgers Univ. which gives loads of info for anyone interested. Whatever they are we have them here in New Jersey. I am sure they have some importance in the scheme of things but to be honest I don't really care.

    It looks like a desicated snow pea I discovered mounting an explorative expedition in the vegetable drawer of my refrigerator. Luckily, the Miracle Whip and Mountain Dew were able to launch a counter-offensive and beat it into submission. :alien:

    its protozoa, neither plant nor animal, more bacteria like. In the grand scheme of evolution, it is like the ancester of both plant and animal. It is the model organism of its kind, like fruit flies to incests, araba-whatever-dosis to plants, lab mice to animal. Biologists study these model organism to better know other organism of the kind, especially in genetics.

    Tal, I was just thinking of the poor euglea thingies.

    I did read that they develop where there is run-off from fertilized fields and we all know what makes fertilizer. :aww:
