In the spirit of what's taking over Europe at the moment, what players would make up your party and what classes would they be?

Only picking six is tough, but here goes...

David James - Cleric (he's always saving their butts)
Sol Cambell - Half-Orc Fighter (tank to stop the enemy) or Bounty Hunter (setting the offside trap)
Frank Lampard - Thief (nimble, great shot and play maker)
Steven Gerrard - Mage (he's just magic)
David Beckham - Archer (what a shot) or Paladin (he is close to being a God)
Wayne Rooney - Dwarf Berserker (tough, agressive and always hits) or Mystra (he is a God after all)

Who do we have that still has a team in the quarter finals?

Oh, in case I didn't mention it - come on England!!!

[IMG] Well, here's my party. (Holland only)

In the front, Ruud van Ristelrooy as a paladin, cause he is a real fighter till the end, and when you are near too losing the battle he always saves the day.
As the back-up, Edgar Davids as an evil-asassin , you never know with what dirty trick he comes up. (bye the way, why do you think he has those glasses?, for the limbs and bone parts of his opponents.)
As the cover Jaap Stam, as the evil-barbarian, his defence is just amazing, he never lets the opponent pass him.
As the good-ranger, Pierre van Hooijdonk, his longe shots are feared in whole Europe and maybe even beyond, and there is 75% chance he strikes the target.
As the swift monk, Rafael van der Vaart, he is fast and good, and has a nice strike too, (the female-opponents are stunned right-away when seeing this bloke.)
And as the true back up-and hero, Marc Overmars as Paladin or Cleric, cause he nevers gives up, and so he inspires his party members to give a good fight.

Well, lets thum for Holland, and England for this evening too, i hope they win from Portugal.

Completely gutted now, after that result. Might have to re-think my party now.

@Ancient Galatan: I like your party selection. Good luck to Holland, and to Czech Republic who I reckon might win it.

Well thanks, but too bad for England, they really gave a good fight till the end, and don't blame Beckham and Vassel for missing, can happen anyone.

@Ancient Galatan: Thanks for that. I would include Van De Saar (is that spelt right?) in your party. I would make him an Elven Mage, he would use mirror image and mislead/simulucrum to to confuse the enemy and prevent them from completing their attack.

Erh, noo, it's Edwin van der Sar, but i am thinking as Arjen Robben as a summoned Deva, cause he just pretty good.

Why he is not in the party?
Because he has not risen the necessary level to keep his body fit.

    Could work.

What sort of Paladin would van Nistelrooy be? Maybe an Inquisitor as he always manages to dispel illusions and can always see the goal.

And what about Roy Makay? (not sure how this is spelt, but I always think he's Irish) What about a Bard, as his name suits that?

Well, would be the perfect fit for him.
But i just can't wait for this evening, France-Greece, i hope the Greece win, because i always fancy the underdogs, but i'm afraid those frence are too good, but well, we'll see what happens.

Yeah, you are probably right, but you never know and stranger things have happened.

I would imagine the French to be all Evil aligned Trolls, because no matter how many times they get knocked down they just keep on coming back.

[IMG] Don't forget the germans, the most time (except last match) they are always too lucky, and they are thinking with only one thought "it ain't over till its over", so i see them as paladin/cavaliers, because they have the good attitude.
But now comes the stupid part, why do i see the as cavaliers?, dutch and germans always hate each other when it comes to football, and i a living on the border too!!!

I don't see the Germans as Paladins at all. I reckon more Dwarves as they seem to have this real stubbornness about them. They just seem to grind the enemy down.

The Dutch as a whole would be more like a troupe of Blades. Entertaining and flashy, but suddenly quick and deadly. van Nistelrooy has that Offensive Spin off to a tee.

What about the Swedes? Their biggest supporter would be Jan, as they play like Turnips :) (Sorry Earl Grey, only joking :D )

*** Just finished watching the match ***

Well done the Greeks ..... the French are out!!!

    [IMG] Well, we've beaten them!!!!
We're actually in the semi-finals again!!!
Finally our longshots can find the targets again (penaltys), in the past we always lost due to that.

Well, if they play just like they did agains Sweden and the Tchech, the i think it won't be difficult, but as long as van der Meyden keeps playingm they don't make a good chance, because he is not good enough.

Well things are hotting up now. The Czechs just beat the Danish 3-0.

If I were to think of a party combined of the best players in the remaining teams, I would choose...

    1. Barosh (cze) - Monk
    2. Robbins (hol) - Kensai
    3. Ronaldo (por) - Blade
    4. Nedved (cze) - Swashbuckler
    5. Jaap Stam (hol) - Cleric
    6. van Der Sar (hol) - Mage

Well, that's a good one, but Nuno Gomez could make a good replacement for Baros, cause he is also very dangerous, and he looks alot like Baros too!
