He could be dualled into a Thief or a Mage if you wanted to.

Has anybody ever tried this? Although it would take forever to get his Fighter levels back, he'd be an even better character when he did (would he keep Fighter HLA's?).

Did it once out of curiosity. Made him a thief. I've got to say it was basically a waste. Most of TOB was over by the time he regained his status and he wasn't that much better. I imagine it would work out better in a two or three person party, so that the experience would be there for the taking and he'd level up fast enough.

He'd be good as a mage I'd think in a two or three person party but I tried it once in a six person party and did everything and still didn't get his fighting skill back, even after dualing him as soon as I got him.

It's difficult to think of Sarevok as anything other then a fighter imo to me it's like making Imoen a Barbarian or Minsc a Mage, but that's probably because I used to be a BGI fan.

Sarevok is a fighter, nothing else.

Yeah, there's no point dual-classing Sarevok, there is no time for him to regain his fighter class. He's good enough as he is anyway.

Sarevok as a thief is probably the only class you could get his fighter abilities back with. Still, why make him a thief? You can't backstab with a two handed sword.

You can still make him a Theif so he can get the UAI ability and use the Carsomyr, but I see no way of justifying it since, UAI or not, he is such an evil bastard that just touching it would probably kill him instantly.

Well, there is the part where he can become a kind-of-goody-two-shoes again...but its all very iffy without the banter packs. And I thoroughly agree with the posters before me that it is entirely worthless to dualclass him. It is useless to dual-class him into a thief because he cannot backstab with two-handed swords, and I don't think any party which has reached ToB would want SO desperately for a few thief skills, since there wouldn't be any backstabbing being done either.

As far as a mage goes...nah, don't think its worth it. What ANY party in ToB does need very badly would be a true blue tank. Korgan with Axe of the Unyielding +5 and Sarevok with Gram the Sword of Grief +5(upgraded) fighting back to back is a sight to behold!
