    [IMG] Hey -

I've been screwin' around with the experience modifications for a while and I'm a bit confused now....

For one, there's an 'always give XP' component in Weimer's 'ease-of-use' mod pack. Second, there's an 'Tweaked experience table' d-load that's just a text document. Wouldn't it be a .2DA-type file?

Is the 1k d-load tweaked experience table just a description of what the component in Weimer's mod pack does? Or, am I not using the 1k 'Tweaked experience table' text document d-load correctly? I've put it in the 'override' folder, the main IWD II folder, even data and I'm not seeing any difference. I still getting 37 XP points for killing a Targos goblin. I'm not expecting a lot either, maybe like 40 xp points, enough for about 2 more levels from what the game usually ends with. Does it only work in certain areas of the game?

    Thanks for reading.

.2DA's generally are in plain-text format.

Eh, I'm just trying to figure out if this crap is even working properly. So far all the minor tests I've done in Targos, the goblins seem to give a flat rate of 37 xp points; no matter which file I use. You'd think a supposedly 10% increase in xp throughout the entire game's total xp, or any slight increase, would notch it up a few digits. Say like 39 or 40 or somethin'.

Not to mention the file's name being this; MONCRATE.2DA.txt. Perhaps it was suppose to be this; MONCRATE.2DA? Just seems to me that a text document isn't really doing much in the 'override' folder other than taking up space....

Or, maybe I'm just not patient enough and the change is too gradual to notice right off the bat...

Can somebody prove me wrong and enlighten me, please?

You need to make sure it is saved as a .2DA file even though it is really a text file at heart.

Nah, thanks for the offer, though.

I just realized I'm an idiot. It dawned on me to try opening the .2DA file with word pad and sure enough, it's a chart just like it is in .txt format. All I have to do it's a cut and paste.

Serves me right for being stupid about computer file and format types.
