Familiars for non-mages

    Is there some way to get a familiar for a non-mage PC (possibly with the CLUAConsole?)? :confused: I've always wanted to have a fighter with a familiar ;)

    First you need the scroll "find familiar" in you items and a potion. Pause the game and select the potion. Replace it with the scroll. Unpause and there you go.

    The scroll you want is "scrl6d"

    Sure, but you gotta have a find familiar scroll.
    Just start drinking a potion and then replace the potion with the scroll.
    Your character will start casting the spell and voila!! :D

    If you have IEEP you can also make find familiar scroll usable by anyone and save yourself some trouble.

    Just for the fun of it, I once charmed a groundhog and had it following me around for a while. I wouldn't attack, but did go towards the enemy.

    Yeah thats real shame couse druids deserve it as much as mages or even more(just look NvN they get it 1level). Ranger could get it some levels after thet and it would be always weaker in melee(got ranger protector). Just think of Minsc and Boo - they belong together :D :D a Big dumb ranger and a miniature space hampster :eek:
    Someone should make it like mod IMO. Minsc would LOVE that. He says to you that you deserve snow whesel(something like that ;) )

    I tried getting a familiar for my assassin once, when I left the area, the game crashed. I guess it could have just been a one time crash or not, but never tried it again. Besides, I wouldn't want it to get killed and loose the con point.

    The first 16 times through the game I never used familiars, because I don't like risking my con.
    Then I found out you can just put them in your backpack.
    Nothing will happen to your familiar if it's in your backpack m8.
