With those family duals you can choose between two families, Lady Lilith Lurraxol and Lord Skarmaen, witch one should I choose, and can you get in that cemetary building (I don't know how call that thing in English) with this quest?

P.S. Wasn't that Neeber also in BG1, I killed a anoying guy how kept talking to me in BG1 also.

lol, the guy from GB-1 was Noober, but killing him? A solid punch with an unarmed fist works just as good (as long as you aren´t a monk) and when you stand his talk everyone in your party will get 1.000xp ;)

I guess it doesn´t matter which side you choose. You will have to retrieve something pretious for them (the same thing in fact and then you have the choice of an evil and a good path - see yourself.

Best thing is to choose for non of the sides, but for the 3rd option. Bring the mantle to the mayor, gives an reputation increase and XP, and then the 2 families won't fight each other.....

    SPOILER....

I didn't find this out my first time through, but the second time I didn't take the mantle to the mayor and there was a big fight in ladies house because I sided with her. Both families turned on me and I had to kill them both but got some elven chain for Jan in the process ;) We didn't want our rep raised anyway, we're evil. I've reduced Jan's AC down to -1, not bad for Jan.

Yeah, I went to speak with the mayor just to "check-in" asa hero, and happened to have the mantle. He offered to take it and I thought, well, sounds like a good idea. So, I got the Rep increase and some EXP quite bay accident. I play a good party, so it worked out well.

Darn, I never got the mantle quest when playing an evil party. Probably had something to do with the fact that I... erm... poisoned the druid grove :p

Just like the good old days in Fallout 2...
"Take care of the power plant"
"ok" *runs in and blows the reactor* "took care of it, may I have my reward?" *gets thrown out of the city*
    Ungrateful dolts...

hehe, u don't have to give the mantle to the familys to fight them. u can just kill them without the town turning on u or rep decrease and get the elven chain off lord whats his face.
