[IMG] I keep hearing wonders about that game; if you got it, tell me: is it worth it?

    If it is:
Just "worth it" or more like "worth it, now may be a good time to upgrade your 3-years old PC"?

It's worth it, all the stories you may have heard are true. This game totally rocks. Definitely worth any possible upgrade that it takes to run this game.

I'm not speaking out of my own experience, because my graphicscard doesn't allow me to play it, but i've seen it on my brothers PC, and it's an absolute pearl. I know i WILL upgrade my PC soon, so that i'll be able to run it too.

It looks good, but then Unreal 1&2 looked good, as well as Halo and Dungeon Siege. And they all were rubbish.

*Starts seeking demo of the game*

I haven't played it, but I have seen it on a friends computer...it's perhaps the best looking game I have ever seen.

There is a demo out, but it is 500mb, yeah!
I'm going to wait for the other next generation games to come out first and see what the word is on them.-That is HLII, Doom 3 and possible Stalker: Obliviation Lost Shadows of Chernobyl (or something like that).

I tried to play it, but I didn't have the latest DirectX, my friend gave it a thumbs-down after playing the demo, saying it was too playstation-y.

Well I downloaded the demo (thank you ADSL :) ) and played it with minimal details this morning.

It's good I guess, but doesn't seem like that much of a blockbuster. Oh well, upgrades will probably wait 'till HLII or Bloodlines.

Was it like a mix of HALO and Morrowind? In other words: a mix of meaningless wandering and brainless action? :hmm: I have to admit, that it looks interesting, but then; Dungeon Siege looked beautiful but was utter crap inside :p

Never played Morrowind nor Halo so ... beats me.

The demo was like: go there - kill baddies - pick up weapons, ammo and security card - enter cave - kill baddies - open switch - go through door.

No brain toasting there. I must admit though that hiding in the bushes and trying to gain upper ground before engaging in combat was fun. Perhaps outdoors fighting is this game's strong point, apart from the supposedly outstanding graphics of course, but my config's too slow to fully appreciate that.

Played first 6 parts of it, then got bored. It sucks. don’t bother buying it and most certainly do not upgrade your pc so you can play it. Well it probably isn’t as bad as Halo but it is bad.

I played it with maxed out gfx super high detail and it looked all right but if it sucks who cares what it looks like.

It reminds me of Unreal2/Red Faction
