What are your favorite places to base your party out of? And what are some of your favorite:
Town on the Sword Coast in the game?
    Inn in Baldur's Gate?
    Shop?
    Temple?
What's your favorite part of the city?
What's your favorite part of the countryside?

    Mine are:
Town on the Sword Coast in the game? Beregost
Inn in Baldur's Gate? Well, it isn't in the city but I am partial to the Feildpost Inn. When I am in the city I stay at the Elfsong Tavern.
Shop? The sorcerous Sundries is a good place to shop. It fills most of my needs if not my wants.
Temple? The Temple of Lathander in Beregost most definently.
What's your favorite part of the city? The area around the Flaming Fist compound.
What's your favorite part of the countryside? The Cloud Peak Mountains can not be beat for it's beautiful scenery!

I usually Base out of the house full of spiders in Beregost until I reach Baldur's Gate then Its the Elfsong Tavern.

    Town: Nashkel
    Inn: Blushing Mermaid
    Shop: Soursorous Sundries
Temple: rarely use them but the temple of Lathander is probably the best
Favourite part of the city: Probably the docks district
Favourite part of countryside: probably the lighthouse area. Great for resting and killing off some sirens for XP.

Beregost until I get to The Big City
Elfsong tavern for thee barrels outside
    High Hedge
    Temple of Gond in FAI
Of Baldur's Gate, the place I spent the most time was the central area because you had to go there to cross through the walled sections.
I like the area south of Beregost because it's a straight shot down the road.
