There is probably an older post somewhere but what is your favorite NPC mod?

Mine is the Saerileth mod (I know it's not popular)

Adrian, the Evil Sorcerer. Also BG1 NPCs in SoA runs a close second, though it is not finished as of yet. A ton of content has already been added.

The only one I've tried is Solaufein (which I really liked in terms of dialogue, but quickly got bored of in terms of combat: it was either ridiculously easy or insanely difficult, and never a comfortable balance); I'm planning to try Xan, Ajantis and/or Tiax in BG2, as I've heard good things of them and I like the continuity aspect of those mods. BGTutu needs no extra NPCs, but I greatly enjoyed the BG1 NPC Project and all the extra banters (although the grammar-Nazi in me got a little frustrated at the surprisingly frequent spelling error)--same applies to BG2 and its Banters mod.

I quite enjoy the freedom of making your own NPCs in multiplayer as, even though they lack the banter of the Bioware or mod NPCs, you can often flesh it out more in your own mind. For example, Barbas***d the Dwarven Barbarian, who had the soundset from IWD involving just "Roaaarghghh!" (and such-like), was born mute and generally more-than-a-little dimwitted, but displayed the odd mind-boggling piece of wit and cunning in his internal monologue and external actions...
