    [IMG] nostalgia time! :)

it's bound to be difficult, but try to narrow your choice down to just one, e.g. cool character you looked-up to.

my choice is transformers, :borg: because the universe was so 'complete'. when the cartoon was over you could get your toys out and continue or make-up your own stories. the comic books (especially the british weekly) were amazing too- brilliant writing and artwork. :D

Geez, why start a new topic when there's one like it still active? Anyway, it's Bugs Bunny and the rest of the WB cartoons (xpt. Pepe le Pew ones - they are all exactly alike).

FYI Christopher_Lee, there wasn't any topic on this active until you decided to resurect a post from almost a year ago. And incidently, the god had posted this before you had replied.

So? People are answering the resurrected topic much more than this one. Anyway, I wasn't lying was I? The topic was still active! You just needed someone to raise it (Harper's call) and bring back to you.

Yes, you were lying. The post was not active (ie. on the first page) until after you replied. Which was after the new post.

    Lame.

    On topic. Bugs Bunny rules.

[IMG] I don't see a problem. The topic was active in the sense that it wasn't locked although it hadn't been used for a while. But didn't we establish the other day that resurrecting old topics is OK (hey that was CL as well?!). Besides, I seriously doubt that anyone would have time to see a new topic, search for a similar (almost identical) old topic and think up five cartoons to post in only three minutes!! It must be a coincidence (or otherwise he really hates the god).

Anyway to avoid Tal locking this thread lets keep to the subject: my favorite cartoon is Sharky & Georges. Vive Meropolis!!

edit/note: CL and i are used to ribbing each other! when we argue don't worry- it's good-naturedly. :heh:

You mean you actually did it in three minutes on purpose?!? That's amazing! Actually lets try that...

Ok just tried it. It took me about a minute and a half so it is possible. But that means you have to have noticed the topic the MOMENT it was created, did a search, stumble upon the right topic (it was about the fourth choice when I did a search just now) and think up four cartoons to write up!?

    Impressive... Most Impressive

    [IMG] the simpsons versus futurama

futurama is an interesting series. at the moment the vast majority haven't seen too much or aren't as fond of it as the simpsons. however, i believe its first season was far superior to that of the simpsons.

maybe it's only a matter of time before people get to know the characters a little better. also, while the humour is just as good, it might have a more limited scope for jokes. the simpsons is less geeky (being an sf fan though, i like the little in-jokes), pandering to the masses with more 'popular' humour, e.g. identifyable movie references.

there is less chance of running out of ideas for the simpsons, looking around at everyday life is bound to provide fresh material for extracting the urine out of ourselves. with futurama, this is funny in a different sense, showing how society probably won't change despite an advancement in technology.
