Like the title say's what are your favourite quotes and analogies. No prerequisites here just mention your personaly favourites that mean something to you emotionally and if you can quote here's a site that could help find lyrics here

Linkin Park: (I've recently developed a Fetish for these guys as you can probably tell from other topics)
A little piece of paper with a picture drawn floats On down the street till the wind is gone
The memory now is like the picture was then
When the paper’s crumpled up it can’t be perfect again.

Linkin park again: It starts with [one]
    One thing
I don't know why it doesn't even matter how hard you try
    Keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme to explain in due time
    All I know
    Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
    The clock ticks life away
    It's so unreal
    Didn't look out below
Watch the time go right out the window
Trying to hold on, but didn't even know
I wasted it all just to watch you go
    I kept everything inside
    And even though I tried
    It all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually
Be a memory of a time when

From Night Vision by Hell is for Heroes (my second favourite band):

Upon a bank by a stream, trading
    Memories for dreams, fading
Echoes and pictures we burn at the seams

That sounds great in the song.
Another is in Awkward by Lostprophets:

And now I see the world and it's all I can't believe
Smile stood still on your face but it's not too late for me
Here I stand and I laugh when I see the world you're in
Smile stood still on your face but it's not too late for me

David Wilcox has some great song analogies, but one of my favorites is his "Saturday They'll All be Back Again":

Johnny's out cruising down the fast-food strip -
    he rides a high-wheelin' Ford.
Down here every weekend since the school let out -
    ordinary man, wasn't bored.
Johnny's got the hunger of a high-school heart
and a tank full of minimum wage.
So it's six lights down, six lights back,
pacing like a lion in a cage.

    Running on a tether,
    tearing at the ground,
trying to find a way to break the chain.
    This howling in the distance
    is a captivating sound -
can't tell if it's ecstacy or pain.
Saturday they'll all be back again.

All those engines pulling all night long
    still make a slow-moving train.
They can scream out their freedom when the light turns green
but they're bound to come round again.
And standing at a distance there's that dark-haired girl -
    Johnny doesn't know her name.
He howls his engine like a big, black dog,
choking on his collar by his chain.

    It's lonely, like hunger -
driven to the same old place.
    Rumble, like thunder -
    don't you think the angels
hear the passion of this human race?

    Running on a tether,
    tearing at the ground,
trying to find a way to break the chain.
    This howling in the distance
    is a captivating sound -
can't tell if it's ecstacy or pain.
Saturday they'll all be back again.

After Forever's lyrics look quite good, not that I've actually listened to hardly any of their songs completely, so I won't quote.

    Within Temptation's Ice Queen:

    When leaves have fallen
    And skies turned into grey.
The night keeps on closing in on the day
A nightingale sings his song of farewell
You better hide for her freezing hell

(Just the first verse obviously, as there is little point in posting a heap of lyrics which no one would read. It is proven that people don't read long posts)

The three main ones for me are:
    1) Will Smith's version of Just The Two Of Us

2)Thirty Odd Fott Of Grunts' Judas Cart:

They are coming today to take her away
Cause a man in a wig said
    The sky is always blue
    Drive on drive on
    Drive on Judas Cart
    Taking my little girl away

I am told I am not welcome in my own home
By a woman who once drove away
    Drive on drive on
    Drive on Judas Cart
    Taking my little girl away

It must have been another life
When I called her my wife
Can't remember any loving at all
But she left me and she dumped her some seven years ago
Now I am legally bound and I am morally appalled
    Drive on drive on
    Drive on Judas Cart
    Taking my little girl away

    3) One I can't even find the lyrics for anywhere on the web - "Father's Day" by Weddings Parties Anything which is basically about a single dad not caring about anything much except Saturdays, because 'every single Saturday is Father's Day'
