Final Fantasy Origins

    Ok, remember the Harm spells from the original Final Fantasy, those that were effective against undead creatures? Well, in the new Origins version of FF1, the name of those spells have been changed. Instead of Harm2, HArm3, etc., you now have Dia2, Dia3.

    Can anyone tell me what the "Dia" stands for? I don't have the manual, so I can't look it up in there (if it's even covered).

    FFO has been translated into more Japanesse feel, so Maybe it come from there, OR maybe it's from Latin since "Dei" mean "God" and the spell is Dia right? So I think in Jap it was Dei and it was bad translated in Dia... but that's just a guest

    Actually, that is the only conclusion we can come to - botched translation. I haven't heard it brought up anywhere else, so maybe I'm the only one it irks.
