Golly, it sure looks awful big... and intimidating... looks like the sorta thing that's definitely not going to let you find everything on the first playthrough... so...

Uh... any recommendations as to "What in the nine hells should I do?"

Or, perhaps, for a more entertaining time, I'll break out my trusty "In-Friggin'-sane" playing style, where I hop, skip, and jump all around, trying to make progress, but usually end up awakening untold chaos and horrors.

    Also:

1:That guy at the friendly arm inn is tough!

2: This... uh... Xzar... or is it xzan? well, the crazy necromancer guy. He's making me nervous. Maybe If I bring him to nashkel lickety-split, he'll go away...

This brings up an interesting point; I'm at about the same part of BG1, and I can't seem to get any recognition from Xzar for bringing him to Nashkel.

    What, precisely, does he want?

You need to speak with the right person. Of course, the real reason why he wants to go there won't be unveiled until later...

Ahh... I like entangle, it's handy for slowing down enemies so you down have to face a mob of them at the same time...

Also: golly, these gnolls don't seem to be as tough as they look, save for that veteran one, dealing with him was a close call...
